INGREDIENTS
2 cups stale cake crumbs
3 cups milk, warmed
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Beat the eggs and the sugar. Add the butter, salt and vanilla essence.
In the meantime, soak the cake crumbs in the milk. Let the mixture cool.
Add the cake crumb mixture to the egg mixture.
Turn into a greased ovenproof dish and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius) for about 1 hour.
Serve immediately with ready-made custard.
